YAMAHA
Overview
YAMAHA (ヤマハ Co., Ltd.) is a company established in 1887 by Japanese Torakusu Yamaha and has now developed into a multinational and cross-industry group. The predecessor of YAMAHA is the Japan Musical Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (日本楽器製造株式会社) established by Torakusu Yamaha in 1887 - a company mainly producing pianos and pipe organs. And YAMAHA has now developed into a large-scale organization involved in the design and manufacture of many fields such as acoustic musical instruments, electronic musical instruments, vehicles (motorcycles, electric vehicles), and sports facilities.
Development of YAMAHA Electronic Musical Instruments
YAMAHA released its first electronic musical instrument designed and produced in 1959, the Electone D-1, and the keyboards that have been released since then include portable keyboards, synthesizers, stage pianos, electric pianos, music computer systems, etc. The technological basis of these instruments is also changing, from transistors to integrated circuits to LSIs, and some of today's products also incorporate features such as the Internet.
