IA (Interactive Accompaniment) is a kind of 4-variation auto-accompaniment system adopted by the PSR-6700, the PSR-5700 and the PSR-6000. It's not the same as the current 4-variation system, nor does it follow the SFF standard. The specific workflow is shown in the following figure:

When the interactive mode is on, the keyboard automatically switches variations based on how hard the right hand is playing. If Auto Accompaniment has played several measures but no one plays the keyboard, it will automatically enter Solo mode 1). At this point, the keyboard will automatically play some preset melodies and chord progressions and cycle through 4 variations until the user starts playing. The working modes of the two functions are shown in the following figure:
