ROLAND SC-55 / SC-55 mkII
The SC-55 is a home MIDI sound source released by Roland in 1991. It was the first model in the Sound Canvas series and one of the earliest MIDI hardware sound sources to implement the GM standard.
The SC-55 mkII, released in 1993, was an upgraded version of its predecessor, primarily increasing the polyphony (24 vs 28) and adding a PC interface (similar in specifications to the Mini Din8 PC Interface).
